Savor San Pedro Food Festival 2008
Community Block Party a great success
The first ever Savor San Pedro Food Festival Block Party was held Saturday January 26th, 2008 in the Central Park of San Pedro Town. Music filled the air, and mouths watered due to the sights and smells of the tasty treats offered by some of the island’s finest restaurants. Voting was held in three separate categories (Best Food, Best Drink and Best Overall Booth), and the results are in:
Best Food
First Place: Blue Water Grill
Prize(s): Sunset Charter on SEAduced Catamaran for 10, Dinner for 2 at Mata Chica
Second Place: Blue Lotus
Prize(s): $200 Cash Given by PUP Standard Bearer Mel Spain, Two gift certificates from Sol Spa
Third Place: El Fogon
Prize(s)$100 Cash from Ramons Village, Two gift certificates from Tropical Touch Spa
Best Drink
First Place: Blue Lotus
Prize(s): $200 cash from Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Dinner for 2 at Portofino
Second Place: Blue Water Grill
Prize(s): $100 cash from Blue Tang, Gift certificate from Footprints
Third Place: Wine De Vine/ Kakaw Chocolate
Prize(s): $100 gift certificate from Captian Sharks
Best All Around Booth
First Place: Tabu
Prize: $500 cash for Area Rep. Manuel Heredia
