Serving Alcohol on Good Friday Rule Change

After a special meeting today (Thursday March 20th, 2008) the Minister of Local Government & Labor along with the Minister of Tourism have made the decision that establishments that have a “Publican and Special” liqour license may open after 6pm on Good Friday. This is a decision that was made today (Thursday) in response to the request from local business owners to re-examine the ruling from Monday prohibiting the sale of alcohol at all on Good Friday.
