BDF Presence on Island Update

Thanks to all of the Hotels and Golf Cart Rental Companies that have helped out with the BDF over the last several weeks.

Currently the feeding of the BDF soldiers has gotten quite expensive. It has averaged $2,000 a week to feed the 10-14 BDF, Police and Coast Guard officers three meals a day. The Minister of Tourism and the SPBA have been paying for the food. Currently there are not funds to continue feeding them.

We are now looking at the possibility of setting up a camp for the BDF where they could do their own cooking. The SPBA could then hopefully help by supplementing their food supply. The Minister of Tourism is looking into obtaining a permanent site for this camp.

If anyone has building materials, or would like to help with obtaining a Menonite House that can be constructed on the site please contact the SPBA.

Finally, in the interim we are looking at other possible solutions until the camp or barracks can be established. If anyone has any other help to offer or solutions please contact the SPBA.
